How to annotate and blur a screenshot in Chrome
Every Kapture screenshot can open straight into the editor, so you can mark it up before you share it.
Annotate
- Take a screenshot with any capture mode.
- In the editor, pick a tool: arrows, boxes, text or numbered steps.
- Draw on the image. Use undo and redo if you change your mind.
- Use crop to trim the image to the part that matters.
- Copy or download the result.
Numbered steps are useful for walkthroughs: number each click in order so the reader can follow along.
Blur sensitive information
Before you share a screenshot, blur anything private such as names, email addresses, account numbers or tokens.
- Open the screenshot in the editor.
- Choose the blur tool and drag over the area to hide.
- Check the result at full size before you export.
Review every capture before sharing it. Screenshots can include more than you expect, and a tab URL saved with a capture can contain private details. The privacy page explains what Kapture stores.
Find it later
Annotated captures stay in your library, where you can search by title or site and sort them into folders. Nothing is uploaded unless you choose to export it.
